Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your ChatRwD account and all associated personal data at any time. This page explains how, including for accounts created using Facebook Login.

Delete Your Account In the App

The fastest way is to do it yourself. In ChatRwD, open Settings and choose Delete Account and confirm. Keep the app open until it confirms completion. If cleanup fails, retry or request help by email. You can also request deletion by email without reinstalling the app, as described below.

How to Request Deletion by Email

  1. Send an email to hello@rivasyst.com from the email address associated with your ChatRwD account.
  2. Use the subject line “Delete my account.”
  3. We will verify the request and permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days, and send you a confirmation when it is complete.

What Gets Deleted

When we process your request, we permanently remove:

  • Your account and authentication records.
  • Your profile information (name, email, and profile picture received from your sign-in provider).
  • Your conversation history, messages, searches, and feedback.
  • Stored conversation files and account-linked semantic search records.
  • Tracked chat attachments uploaded to OpenAI for your account.
  • Account-linked analytics profiles, events, and session recordings, through a deletion request to PostHog.
  • Your recorded community-rule agreement.
  • Your authored feed posts, comments, uploaded media, likes, reports, and block preferences.
  • Your push notification tokens and related preferences.

PostHog processes event and recording erasure in the background after accepting our request. The app confirms account deletion after our cleanup and provider requests succeed; this does not mean all provider background erasure has finished. Contact us to check its status.

Email deletion requests also include a review of older AI uploads and analytics records that predate automated provider cleanup. You do not need to identify the providers or individual records. We will review linked OpenAI and PostHog records and confirm completion of that cleanup. Turning off analytics or removing the app alone does not erase records already collected.

We retain a restricted deletion receipt to support retries and confirm completion. Security logs, backups, abuse-prevention records, and records required for legal obligations may have separate retention periods. We will identify any applicable exception and retention period when handling your request. Content copied or saved by other people is outside our control.

If You Signed In With Facebook

Removing ChatRwD from your Facebook account stops any future data sharing but does not delete data we have already collected. To remove ChatRwD on Facebook:

  1. Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites.
  2. Select ChatRwD from the list.
  3. Click “Remove.”

To delete the data ChatRwD has already stored, follow the email request steps above.
